JLo’s Tour Has Ended

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

Following last week’s news of Sony BMG looking to drop Jennifer Lopez for “low sales” and “expensive performances”, it looks like the pregnancy may have been a factor in the cancellation of her last show of her tour, with hubby Smeagol Anthony.

JLo has canceled the final date of her U.S. tour, in San Diego, which was a make-up show, postponed due to the wildfires, October 24.

Well, now she can go home and rest. Get off those feet.. have the baby and reinvent herself for something she’s actually good at.

Number 2!

It’s like the whole world is against Britney when Billboard changes their policy??

Britney’s album “Blackout,” would have been No. 1, had Billboard not changed their policy. Billboard reports, “In consultation with Nielsen SoundScan, Billboard will now allow exclusive album titles that are only available through one retailer to appear on The Billboard 200 and other charts, effective with this week’s charts. Prior to this, proprietary titles were not eligible to appear on most Billboard charts. ”

Had the Eagles’ data not been reported, “Blackout” would be No. 1, however, it will open at No. 2 with first-week sales of 290,000 copies.

Girl Gone Wild

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Snoop Dogg was this years host of Europe MTV Music Video Awards. As a good host, had arranged to meet Amy at her hotel room. When he arrived with his entourage…Dogg girl go wild! ..Not Snoop Dogg style!

Amy was in the middle of fit, throwing around fruit, tables, chairs and a plate of spaghetti bolognese.

The Mirror reports: “An hour and a half before the show, Snoop said he wanted to see Amy. When we got there, she was in a right state. Everyone, including her management, just stood there as she lobbed spaghetti up the walls. It went on for about five minutes - with her kicking the walls and throwing whatever she could get her hands on - even the tables and the chairs. Then she started cutting up the rug. Snoop was just standing there open-mouthed. He was pretty freaked out by it and didn’t want to hang out with her after that.”

Amy, who was in the running for Album of the Year, Most Addictive Track and Best UK and Ireland Act, was snubbed by the public vote. Amy did go home with one award and that was the Artists’ Choice prize, voted for by her peers. She gave another shake performance of ‘Back to Black’, which she just barely got through.

More SNL

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Also, since we may not be enjoying SNL for a while, here’s “I Feel it All” and a poke funny at the demos skit, “Hillary’s Halloween Party”.

Feist On SNL

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Feist, Brian Williams and Barack Obama on, what may have been, the last fresh SNL for a while.   Leslie was getting at it on guitar, but it sounds like her voice has taken hit from all the promotion this year.

She may need to sit it out with the writers for a while and let it rest.

Katie Completes The New York Marathon

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Katie Holmes actually ran 26.2 miles and went back to Tom!

On Sunday Katie ran the New York marathon and finished in 34,195th place, making her time 5:29:58.

Her parents, Tom and Suri were there to cheer her on and followed up the race with a party at Tavern on the Green, later that evening.

Tom was so worried that Katie may keep on running and never return, that he forgot to wind-up Suri. It looks like her clock stopped ticking miles ago!

Jewel Gets Country-er

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Jewel says country has always been in her plans, so she’s going straight country. The singer/songwriter has signed a multi-album deal with new label, Valory Music Company in Nashville.

Jewel tells Billboard.com, “I’ve been wanting to do this record my whole career, but my label was always scared of country music. I’ve always had country songs on my records.” “Goodbye Alice in Wonderland,” hits stores Tuesday.

Number One Pop Album

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Number 1 pop album, Carnival Ride!!

I don’t get it, but it’s a fact.

I do know that when I hear that hilarious, “Before he Cheats” song on the radio, I go to town singing about knockin’ those headlights out, but I also love to sing “9 to 5″, by Dolly Parton; that doesn’t make it good… or does it?

Number one is an honorable spot and some country stars like Faith Hill, Wynonna and LeAnn Rimes, I’m sure, have had enough! Now she’s worked her way into the pop world!

Today all five of Carrie blank canvas Underwood’s five singles went to number one. She’s received two Grammy’s, an American Music Awards, two People’s Choice awards, five Academy of Country Music awards, and two awards from the Country Music Assn.

My problem with this music is that it’s written to be a hit and Carrie is just the receptor. She sings it, stands in line for makeup and wardrobe and viola! Not my cup of tea.. woe is me.

Get me off this ride, I think I’m getting sick!!

Look Who Went as a Has-been Pop Star for Halloween

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Britney’s scary tiger Halloween costume. I think the shoes are most frightening!

Look at Ugli Simms, dressed as X17 paparazzi,  They had lump Lufti in tow, who was supposed to be TMZ reporter and friend Lucy Walsh in X17 get up, as well.. clever!

How long did it take these dolts to come up with the dorky costumes?

Her album Blackout is supposed to sell over 350,000 copies today and she could care less!!!
