The newly sober Cat Power did the “Amanda shuffle” on Leno last night during her performance of “New York, New York” from the Jukebox album. She stealing my thunder with the foot shuffle, but twas good to see Chan nonetheless. We’re big fans!
We are loving this album. My favorite being “New York, New York”, then “Ramblin’ (Wo)man.”
We’re looking forward to seeing her live.
Heath Ledger is in a music video for “Black Eyed Dog”, for which he directed and starred. The video was a tribute to Nick Drake, British folk singer that died in 1974 by an overdose of anti-depressant, amitriptyline. Heath made the video as a tribute for the artist for whom Ledger was obsessed.
The video displays “disorienting” and “eerie” images that include Ledger drowning himself in the final scene. These images were shown also on many tv stations at the time of Heath’s death, but the video is just now available by The Nine Network, who gained exclusive rights to the video.

Yay, so finally we won’t have to worry about T-mobile taking over the free Wi-Fi anytime we get in the radius of a Starbucks. I think I’m in the mood for a venti, extra ice, iced Americano, 2 splendas and a splash of half and half.

Miami, FL, February 7, 2008—Tito Puente Jr., son of the late world-class percussionist Tito Puente and his longtime girlfriend Gloria Martinez, welcomed their son Tito Antonio Puente Jr. to the world. Little Puente Jr. was born at Palmetto General Hospital in Miami, FL. He is 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long with a smile just like his dad and grandfather.
There have been many incredible moments in my life, but this is the greatest. I can not compare it to anything else, he is a true blessing in my life, said Tito Puente Jr., leaving the medical center where his son was born. The artist, who stopped his tour to spend this week for the birth of his son, was joined by his mother Margaret Puente, who arrived from New York City in time for the occasion; Margaret is the widow of the late Tito Puente and grandmother to his daughter Miranda Cristina Puente, whom was born last year at the same hospital.
Dr. Robert Fojo presided over the delivery and confirmed that the baby is healthy; also stating that he was delighted to be part of this important moment in Tito Jr.´s life.
Meanwhile, the new father will continue with his concerts throughout the United States and abroad next week. Now celebrating the arrival of his son, as his father would, Tito Puente, Jr. and his son are having the time of their lives.
Britney Spears‘ father, Jamie, was spotted at the back entrance of UCLA’s Medical Center this afternoon (above), carrying several large bags. The pop star has just checked out of the hospital, according to the L.A. Times.
Her destination is not yet known.

Rolling Stone has released this small little excerpt from the article. I think they are referencing Brit’s Betsey Johnson shopping trip where her credit card wouldn’t work. Brit threw a tantrum in the dressing room and threw her soda and then stormed out cursing at the sales girls. Adnan tried to calm the situation by begging the sales girl to make the credit card go through.
A crush of managers in black shirts and gold name tags try to keep the peace, but the crowd running after Britney gets larger, and now the shopgirls have started to catch up to her, one of them slipping spectacularly in her platform shoes, grazing her elbow. Actor died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
Heath Ledger died of an accidental overose of prescription drugs that included painkillers, sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication, the New York City medical examiner said Wednesday.
“Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine,” medical examiner‘s spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said in a news release.
The drugs are the generic names for the OxyContin painkiller, the anti-anxiety drug Valium, Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug, and the sleep aids Restoril and Unisom. Hydrocodone is another name for Vicodin.

Well, that’s what I was going to tell you about, until I realized McConaughey was sporting a “J.K. Livin” t-shirt. Dude’s gonna be a father and he’s still gonna keep on keepi’n on?
