We knew it wouldn’t last long before Eddie got pissed at something and pulled the plug. Reportedly Valarie Bertinelli’s big mouth tell-all was just enough to to put the nail in the coffin. Van Halen was scheduled to play a show at the American Airlines Center in Dallas
tomorrow night, but TMZ reports that there will be no further live shows at this time, that some dates may be rescheduled–and that the cancellations aren’t David Lee Roth’s fault.
Miami, FL, February 7, 2008—Tito Puente Jr., son of the late world-class percussionist Tito Puente and his longtime girlfriend Gloria Martinez, welcomed their son Tito Antonio Puente Jr. to the world. Little Puente Jr. was born at Palmetto General Hospital in Miami, FL. He is 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long with a smile just like his dad and grandfather.
“There have been many incredible moments in my life, but this is the greatest. I can not compare it to anything else, he is a true blessing in my life”, said Tito Puente Jr., leaving the medical center where his son was born. The artist, who stopped his tour to spend this week for the birth of his son, was joined by his mother Margaret Puente, who arrived from New York City in time for the occasion; Margaret is the widow of the late Tito Puente and grandmother to his daughter Miranda Cristina Puente, whom was born last year at the same hospital.
Dr. Robert Fojo presided over the delivery and confirmed that the baby is healthy; also stating that he was delighted to be part of this important moment in Tito Jr.´s life.
Meanwhile, the new father will continue with his concerts throughout the United States and abroad next week. Now celebrating the arrival of his son, as his father would, Tito Puente, Jr. and his son are having the time of their lives.
Britney Spears‘ father, Jamie, was spotted at the back entrance of UCLA’s Medical Center this afternoon (above), carrying several large bags. The pop star has just checked out of the hospital, according to the L.A. Times.
Her destination is not yet known.
PageSix.com first reported that the Spears family planned to take Britney home to Louisiana.
California is now stocking marijuna in vending machines. AVM’s are 24 hour machines housed in standalone rooms, abutting two dispensaries and protected by round-the-clock security guards.

Tuesday, overshadowed by the untimely passing of Heath Ledger, the lovely Chan Marshall released her latest LP, Jukebox.
As previously reported, Jukeboxagain finds Chan Marshall culling an album’s worth of material almost entirely comprised of covers — all reinterpreted Cat Power style. Here is the tracklisting, for the bonus disc, that is part of the limited-edition, silver foil deluxe package, of the release. No word yet if the discarded tracks, listed in the original Matador press release, from the Jukeboxsessions, will be released as B-sides, etc.

It’s on! The drug induced insane Amy Winehouse has been arrested in the case with hubby Blake. Sky News is reporting that Amy was arrested “by appointment” at a police station in east London.
“It is not an unexpected move,” correspondent for Sky News, Brunt said.
“Her husband has been charged with grievous bodily harm against a pub landlord. He was then further charged with perverting the course of justice.
“It had been speculated that police might have an interest in any allegation about his wife’s potential involvement.”
