Who’s sorry now?

Friday, July 27th, 2007

Kelly Clarkson has sure made it clear that she did this album her way, but who’s sorry now? After reports of her feuding over the direction of her new album, “My December”, Kelly Clarkson is now apologizing to Clive Davis, whom she calls, “one of the great record men of all time”. In a statement made by the 25- year-old, “American Idol” winner, turned rocker says, “I want to set the record straight on this by saying that I want my band, my advisors, those close to me and my record label to be one big, tightly knit family. Like any family we will disagree and argue sometimes but, in the end, it’s respect and admiration that will keep us together.”

Although Kelly is still waiting on a “hit” song to shake out from this album, she did a swell job. I’m not a huge fan myself, but I am a fan of Feist and Kelly does a pretty nice impression on the lovely song “Irvine”. Unlike Kelly’s other songs from previous albums, this one is smally sung and works it’s self out just fine. Many indie artists are making a go of their own production, sales and tours, so why can’t Kelly? I’ll tell you why, because she’s already worked with “one of the great record men of all time”!–past_in_present.mp3
